### Why We Do What We Do

EmpowerHer Journey was born out of a deeply personal experience. Our founder, Italia Tornabene, knows firsthand the struggles of homelessness and sex work. Her journey from those difficult circumstances to a position of stability and empowerment inspired her to create a nonprofit dedicated to helping others facing similar challenges.
